A group of dancers from a fishing firm owned by a fishing magnate dance below the Welcome Arch at the Queen Tuna Park while waiting for the image of Sto. Niño on board a fishing boat at the Fluvial Parade winding its way across Sarangani Bay along with 300 other vessels.

These dancers form part of 11 contingents which participated in the ISDA-ISDAAN Festival street dancing competition, part of the celebration of the 30th Patronal Fiesta of Bula Parish.

The Sto. Niño de Cebu replica image of this girl is the most common found in Pinoy altars.

what more can i say?? i feel so inadequate with words…your fotos speak thousands of words, capture both the inside and outside of everything. your lens – a powerful weapon that touches beyond what is seen…you created something more than these events! for me…as i am far away from gensan, it’s something i long for, something i have known as i grew up with it yet it is totally new and very exciting… it pierces the heart to be away..but how you capture the event and the others in your previous posts…oh my…make me even closer at home and wishing deeply: i with my family will be back there for good…soonest…by God’s grace… a huge thanks for making it this way avel…love it…
