Good news to all PBA player-wannabees and parents/relatives of PBA player-wannabees!!

Former UP and PBA player and coach and the current program director of the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Eric Altamirano is bringing to Gen. Santos City his “Coach E Basketball School” this summer!

For three (3) straight days from April 1-3, 2008, Coach Eric will be personally teaching and trainng high school kids who dream of becoming future basketball superstars at the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University Gymnasium.

Coach Eric has just selected 40 boys from Southern Mindanao to join the NBTC Training School after try-out sessions at the Ateneo de Davao University HS gym last January, where four qualifiers are from GenSan: 6’1 Mark Regalado, 5’9 Chuck Orbase, 5’9 Jonathan Tonggal and 6’1 Paul James de Mesa, all of Holy Trinity College.

As a complement, the Coach E Basketball School this April is a good training ground for young “generals” (as Gensan residents call themselves) wanting to qualify into this national training pool of future Pinoy basketball heroes.

Interested applicants for the Summer School may call tel. #s 304-08-59 or 0919-2290074 or contact Ms. Charito Orbase at the Muscle Track Fitness Gym, Papaya Street Extension, GenSan.
