Red Cross offers Summer Safety Institute

Came across a flyer posted at a wall at the back of the oval plaza covered court which announces the Summer Safety Institute 2008 of the Philippine National Red Cross.

For a registration fee of P1000 (for students) and P2000 (for professionals), anybody who wishes to improve his skills and acquire more knowledge on saving lives, or simply spruce up his curriculum vitae may enroll for the following modules:

  • Standard First Aid Training
  • Basic Life Support (CPR)
  • International Humanitarian Law
  • HIV AIDS Prevention Education and Drug Abuse Prevention Education
  • Basic Leadership Training
  • Basic Disaster Management Trainng
  • Ambulance Operation
  • Basic Water Safety and Rescue
  • Discover Scuba Diving
  • Rope Rescue Technician Level I
  • Urban and Mountain Rescue and Land Navigation
  • Session Swift Water Rescue and Flood

They are also offering a LEARN-TO-SWIM PROGRAM for beginners.
