Two years ago i leave Gensan beause i apply to work in Saudi that time i notice that the traffic situation here specially in Jose Catolico werein giant malls were rising up is becoming heavy during the rush hour! last july i go home for vacation in that same street the traffic wow!not only heavy but worst even more!So sana magawan to ng paaraan ng ating Maganda at butihing Mayor Darlene Antonino Custodio!

try to remove tricycles sana in the streets of gensan. it looks very province specially when your from manila. they are also not good for the traffic. You can’t let your car run at a faster speed because these tricycles exist. considering the cost, we could add more jeepney routes around the city. i believe the government can produce jobs for these drivers naman.

@Leon - CORRECT jud ka diha!!! Unsa mani? Pasagdaan na lang ba nato ,ma-iwit ang Gensan? Mao siguro dili ingon kaayo ang pag dagan sa uswag sa syudad kay we are not represented so well...Congresswoman Darlene, can you do something about this???? Bisag mao na lang ning imong ulihing legacy sa imong mga constituents.

With 529,542 people, that makes General Santos City the biggest city in the Philippines without its own representative in Congress. Darlene Custodio is the representative for the 1st District of South Cotabato that includes Tampakan, Tupi, Polomolok and General Santos. She does not represent just General Santos City. General Santos City has enough population for TWO congressmen, not just one. For not having two congressmen, General Santos City is losing hundreds of millions of pesos in development assistance from the Congress pork barrel system.

A bigger population can either be an opportunity or a headache for any LGU. I hope that Gensan, considering it’s talented/educated populace, can be as progressive as other cities in the Philippines.
