(UPDATE) Who will be Ms. GenSan 2008?

Update:Â Crowned Ms. GenSan 2008 is NDDU student Ivy Cunanan.
Photo shows (from left) Senator Mar Roxas, with Ms. GenSan 2008 and her court, 1st runner-up Rhyndyll Faye Bartolaba, a 19-year old NDDU student; the new Ms. GenSan Romemarie Ivy Cunanan, an 18-year old NDDU student; 2nd runner-up Kristelle Marie Velayo, a 20-year old MSUan, and Mayor Jun Acharon, at the Pageant Finals Night of the Search for Ms. GenSan 2008 at the Gaisano Mall of Gensan. Senator Roxas was the city’s Guest of Honor at the culmination program of the 10th Tuna Festival the follwing day.
As am writing this, the Finals of the Search for Ms. GenSan 2008 is just about to begin at the Gaisano Mall of GenSan Atrium, if it can start at its official time of 5pm.
Eleven beautiful and intelligent young “generals” who underwent a battery of interviews, physically exhausting pictorials and visitations to various areas in GenSan will give it all they’ve got for the last time and show to the whole world (a 5-minute ABS-CBN TV special will air on Magandang Umaga Socsargen, which will air on TFC) that they’ve got what it takes to be Ms. GenSan.

Gandang umaga generals….i would like to commend the candidates coming from the premiere private university of the city - the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University for bagging the Cheerdance Competition held at the Acharon Sports Complex…to Ivy Cunanan the recently concluded MISS GENSAN 2008, we are proud of you especially the Mass Communication Department!and to Bartolaba the 1st runner-up sa iba pang taga-NDDU na lumaban ng patas…KUDOS!

maraming maraming salamat sa lahat ng sumuporta sa amin! the show was a smashing success. sobrang dami ng tao ang nanood. andaming bigating bisita. higit sa lahat… napakagara ng show. whew… keber na lang sa mga comments but as the producer, talagang pati ako napa-wow sa pageant kagabi! salamat sa panginoong Diyos for guiding us all through out the activities!

Guys, here’s hoping that next year you might want to utilize a venue where the bulk of the audience can comfortably sit. It’s quite unfair hearing the contestant’s folks & relatives complaining of tired & aching feets (ugh!) …by the way, ang ganda ganda ni Kitel and she’s also smart….gurl, i’m a fan of yours!
to the author, payong kapatid lang po, u could’ve included the names of the contestant to make your article somewhat complete….di ba SOP na ‘yan if ure discussing beauty contests?

the pageant was really tough..my co-candidates were all competitive.kaya its a huge blessing na mapasama ako sa top three..wheeew…we all had a great time..alagang alaga kami ni sir orman..that’s why i sincerely thank him..di mapapantayan ang mga memories ng grupo. we were all acquainted to each other..ang dami ring benefits..sobra!from head to toe..i also thank all the sponsors na naging part ng event..and to all the gurls!!we are all winners!!

i really admire the batch 2008 of Ms. Gensan. i cant believe that the Generals has the hidden treasures of beautiful and smart women . I just wanna PUT EMPHASIS TO CONTESTANT #3, mS. KRISTEL MARIE vELAYO. in my own opinion, she deserves to be the the Ms. GensAN 2008. HER capacity, beauty and intellect is really diffrent among the 11 candidates, ….she has the chance to win Ms. Aliwan 2008 ( the festival of all festivals in the Phils.)
and there batch for me are the best. MS. Gensan didnt appear CHEAP. my points of view as an audience really changed alot. This batch is really competent compared to the previous batches.
it is just only my opinion and points of view.. no hurt feelings..
puro beauties….. whoever will win the pageant… congratulation, you deserve to win….

may blind item ako pra sa inyo. natatandaan niyo pa ba yung kagaganap pa lamang na ms. gensan 2008 nung sept.04??? well , may naririnig ako na luto daw ang nasabing pageant. kasi daw may isang JUDGE sa contest na mababa magbigay ng score sa isa sa mga top 3 sa nasabing event. mmm…… sino kaya itong judge na ‘to at sino sa top 3 ang binigyan niya ng maliit na marka??? hoy judge #_____ alam mo kung sino ka!!! tanong ko lang sayo, may konsensya ka pa ba??? ooopppps! bato-bato sa langit, ang TATAMAAN ‘wag magagalit!

Its always like that when your bet didnt win. You blame the judges and said all sort of insulting remarks. The set of judges this year are people of integrity. The organizers would not have chosen them if they are not reliable. Right Orman? So better luck next time na lang sa candidate ninyo. The three winners deserved to be on the top three.

@archmykel - tumpak ka dyan mike! para sa akin… ang batch this year ang katangi-tangi… hindi kami nahirapan dahil lahat mauutak. may mga kanya-kanyang ganda sila and i loved all of them. i have my personal choices but then again, producer lang ako, hindi ako judge. sa mga napili, mabuhay kayo! well-deserved talaga! nahirapan ang mga judges this year… pero yung klase ng hirap na proud sila dahil may maipagmamalaki talaga ang kariktang-miss gensan. pinili ang mga judges dahil may “K” sila. integrity-wise, bow kami sa kanila. pansinin nyo… yang tatlong winners, lahat ipinanganak sa gensan. kaya talagang happy kaming lahat sa resulta. see you next year uli!!!
@wyvernx0103 - ang masasabi ko lang, HEARSAY ang scoop mo. come out in the open. challenge ko yan sayo. as far as judging is concerned, we have covered our bases. hindi pwedeng magmaganda ang judge at i-down ang isang candidate by putting a “zero” score. the “lowest” score is such that it cannot bring a candidate down. magaling ang ACLC. the program that they did for the show really saved us time. yun lang.

proud ako sa top three winners natin. they were part of the official delegation ng gensan sa 9th ATOP convention in iloilo. gensan kasi submitted a bid to host the 10th ATOP convention next year. the presence of the ladies helped us win votes from the luzon delegates. feeling artista talaga ang tatlo kasi andaming gustong magpapicture with them. their grace, wit and charm won the day for the generals. we won the bid 110 votes vs. davao’s 58 votes. nung pumasyal kami sa sm iloilo, may mga batang nagpapirma ng autograph sa kanila! mukhang mga artista daw. way to go, ladies! you’ve made gensan proud! keep it up. stay humble. smile!
