NOKIA Phils. joins 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit

To all SOCCSKSARGEN Bloggers and non-bloggers…….Hear ye!  Hear ye!

Nokia (Philippines), Incorporated is joining the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit as CO-PRESENTER!

In an email to Bariles Republic last week, Nokia Corporate Communications Manager Nikka Singson-Abes confirmed their participation in the biggest gathering of bloggers in this island scheduled on October 25, 2008!

I met Ms. Nikka at the opening of the first Nokia Store in South Central Mindanao at the KCC Mall of GenSan last month.  She allowed me to meet and interview their gracious and kind General Manager William Hamilton-Whyte.

Their participation in the MBS2 is clear proof that they are committed  more than ever in  making their presence felt in these parts of the Philippines and cement their reputation as the country’s #1 cellphone manufacturer.  Thanks NOKIA!

That’s one more sponsor, thanks to the Soccsksargen Convenors Collective who is spearheading the hosting of the Summit under the umbrella of the Mindanao Bloggers.

Last year, the 1st MBS was conducted in Davao City, courtesy of The Usual Suspects group of blog guru Oliver Robillo, a co-awardee in the Most Influential Emerging Blogs of 2008.

They are also behind the very first and mega-successful WORDCAMPs in Southeast Asia held the other week in Davao and Manila and are also assisting the GenSan Team in the MBS2.

The MBS2 is an official event of the Gensan E-Business Week and is open to  all Mindanaoan bloggers, young and old who have blogs (web logs or web journals) hosted by any of the following  web publishing plaftorms and systems and social networking groups with blogging capabilities:  Wordpress, Blogger (or Blogspot), Live Journal, Multiply, Friendster Blogs, i.ph, among others.

Attendance is FREE OF CHARGE.

We are targetting not more than 100 bloggers and since this is FREE, please write your intention to join as early as today.

    About the bloggers summit here in gensan… I saw the news on tv patrol socksargen advertising the bloggers summit. I’d be glad to be part of it. After being hiatus from blogging… I was inspired this time… (thanks to you ^_^) to start blogging again. A miracle in disguise of a comment. ^_^ I’d love to feature our city. Other than that… I’d also love to discuss about my passion for gaming… especially on consoles (PS2, PSP, PS3.. etc.) and my tripping in gensan. Atleast, I could share my POVs to other people,discuss things that are happening in our city and, also, meet new acquaintances. ^_^

    Anyways, i’ll just discuss more of my intentions and more information about me on my new blog. I’ll create another one which will be more dedicated about Gensan. I need to review my CSS and basic HTML coding so that I could develop a new design for my blog site. I’ll just keep you posted for the new url. ^_^

    Bisaya ko ha… english lng gud para murag true. hehehhe ^_^ taas na sad akong comment ky wa koy idea where to address my appreciation, Mr. Bariles. I’m not familiar with you pa man.. pero I’m hoping to know you better… And Im hoping I’ll be meeting new friends tpo sa bloggers summit. I’ll mark my calendar na.^_^ I’ll try to be active na sad onlyn by next week pag mataod na ako internet connection. ^_^
