have been away from home for quite sometime now…been to places i could only see in the movies, but i have never felt emotions as strong as when i am in gensan… hope to i could come home and stay for for good.. kuya avel i have tons of memories with you, i could only think of the greatness you have in you…take care always and more power to you all….

and o nga pala… wag nyo na paalisin ung mga tricycles… ayos lang naman un eh… ibawal lang sila sa mga highways…. tapos.. strict implementation lang sa mga rules and regulations… kabalo naman ta na paminsan2x gahi pod ug ulo ning mga tricycle drivers nato…. pero at least diba? mas murag xa.. accesible and stuff like that.. tapos makita mo rin kasi ung historical values ng mga tricycles… ehehehe…

up po ako sa mga traffic lights sa mga busy streets.. ayos po yan!… sana ayusin po ung mga streets banda sa silway… lalo na sa may BARRACKS area papuntang dadiangas west elem school banda… bata pa ko lubak lubak lang gihapon na dira banda.. daghan madisgrasya dira.. tapos daghan pud matapilo (sprain).. hihihihi… o nga pala.. sana lagyan din ng traffic lights sa may makar area banda.. ung papunta from labangal area… ahhmmm…. and please sana madami ng commercial buildings noh… haayyy… ang laki na nag improvement.. wooohooO!!!

how about traffic lights at the junctions of P. Acharon Blvd. starting from the Port of General Santos?

Traffic there is annoying. Two lanes of road become four, and both lanes seems to go the same direction: forward.

lumiwanag bigla ang junction ng national highway and santiago boulevard... nakakapanibago pero nakaka-excite din kasi magkakarun na nga ng traffic lights dyan... sana nga lang di malito ang mga tricycle drivers... pero teka diba bawal na ang mga tricycles sa national highway? ormans last blog post..no caption

@Kritiko - Anu kaH bah?!...hindi naman tanga ang LGU ng gensan noh, na pagkatapos i-install ng mga traffic lights eh pababayaan na lang dyang gumana. Siyempre, maglalagay ng POLICE OUTPOST sa corner ng junction para bantayan ang infrastructure at syempre na rin para pa-igtingin pa lalo ang POLICE VISIBILITY sa CIUDAD DE DADIANGAS.:-) Kaya relax lang.

If the traffic is really that bad, then the city would definitely need a traffic signaling system. Almost all the major cities in the Philippines have traffic systems in place, so I guess Gensan deserves it as well.

kung maputulan ang city hall ng electricity by socoteco and socoteco naman ang putulan ng napocor, both for non-payment of debts, paano ioperate ang traffice light system? di kaya maging white elephant yan gaya ng giant phallic symbol na water tank kuno sa bandang likod ng city hall? ajejeje

I dont care sa mga negative comments for me I like to have more traffic lights in our city para in na in tayo like other cities nakadagdag attraction kasi yan sa city natin kahit gaano kaasinso ang city mo pag walang traffic lights mahirap pa rin tingnan. Kahit na maghinto tayo every 10 minutes ok lang I dont care para city na city talaga ang dating natin hehehehe

Hi guys!

i didn’t realize how much we all care for our beloved city’s streets until reading all these responses.

what can i say except that all the CHOKE POINTS should be installed with traffic lights.

And yes, we can’t do without the traffic police because we need them to apprehend the violators. it’s still a collaboration between man and machine to get all these traffic rules moving.

haaay…. i really love gensan! there’s really no other city quite like it. are we not all lucky to be living here???

@orman – “…the lights SUDDENLY changed from green to red.” Mega-noon ba? aba eh dangerous nga ire…hindi ba normally kapag ang lights naka green (go) it should turn to Yellow (ready) first before turning to Red (stop) so vehicles have time to slow down when lights turn to yellow before turning to red for stop. Kung totoo mang ganoon ang nangyari na dumirecho nang red from green ay susme, ATTENTION TRAFFIC MGT. GROUP!!! PAKI CHECK PO NG TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM NATIN AT MEDYO MALI PO YATA ANG SETTING NG SIGNAL…

or kung hindi muna mag yello before red, edi sana man lang mag BLINK ng 5X ang green BEFORE MAG RED.

nung kasagsagan ng tuna fest, nadisgrasya ang innova ko sa crossing ng pioneer & magsaysay where the traffic lights are located. apparently (well according to my driver), the lights SUDDENLY changed from green to red. mabilis takbo nya… yung pick-up sa harapan nya stop bigla so yun… wasak ang innova… parang walang nangyari sa pick-up. my driver blames the traffic lights.

i blame him.

ang moral of the story? kapag malapit ka na sa traffic lights, slow down. rule of thumb yan. NEVER EVER BEAT THE RED LIGHT. dapat ma-educate ang drivers natin. and the best education is getting exposed to it.

so if you ask me? ituloy lang yang mga projects na yan.

in the meantime sisisantehin ko driver ko. joke!

Thank you gensanite and white knight. Thats a very good observation about bicycle and motorcycle lanes. In Lipa City, Ate Vi implemented the motorcycle lanes in their major streets during her term as mayor. so walng mga magugulong tricycle sa main lanes.
