Robinsons Place-General Santos construction in full swing
Every time I pass by the site of the P2billion peso- Robinsons Place-General Santos (yes, that’s the final name) along the Lagao National Highway, I am amazed at the speed of the ongoing construction.
A few weeks back, the portion of the 8-hectare lot was just a field of steel cables jutting from the ground. Now, you can already see the outline of the frontage of the two-storey building behind their perimeter fence made of galvanized sheets.
Advertising streamers (click on the images below) have also been posted on the fence announcing the imminent entry of the mall including what people from Soccsksargen could expect inside, which are:
- Robinsons Department Store
- Robinsons Supermarket
- Robinsons Appliance
- Robinsons Movieworld
- Handyman Do It Best
- Boutiques
- Foodcourt
- Restaurants
- Amusement Centers
- Bookstore
- Drugstore
Scheduled to open during the 2nd quarter of 2009, Robinsons Place -General Santos has also announced that it is now accepting LEASE APPLICATIONS, from people or groups interested in putting up their own businesses inside the mall.
Here is the exact announcement:
NOW ACCEPTING LEASE APPLICATIONS. For inquiries, please call:
MANILA LEASE OFFICE: Nicole Vargas or Abigail Bautista at (02) 683-6100 local 804 or (0922) 895-3437. Email: gensan.lease@robinsonsland.com or customer.care@robinsonsland.com

Makes double the excitement knowing the Gokongweis (through the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation) are also tops in socio-civic mindedness, especially in the education sector. Let us hope they do not just bring in good business to Gensan but also good CSR work.
Good luck!

# yes, you’re right there. that was also my comment previously na it’s about time that our tricycle here in gensan should be re-routed in minor streets. Add more jeepney routes so that hindi masyado maapektuhan naman ang commuters. And habal2x should be strictly banned from major streets, the same with all “kolorums transpo” para naman hindi unfair sa nag franchise. But all this development will have an effect on Gensan’s simple lifestyle, particularly sa transportation means natin.

Why not. Polomolok is very much qualified na in terms of income and people density. mas bibo pa gani ang polomolok compared sa alabel, sa tinuod lang.

Everytime I pass by that construction site my heart swell with pride ( as a born and bred General) and with joy ( as a born and bred shopaholic). Hehehe.
The location of Robinsons was the whole reason why I made a mad dash to Agan Centro main office to inquire about their housing. After all, it’s my dream come true to be living just a stone’s throw away from the mall.
Go GenSan!
