(updated:more pix) Thousands witness Enchanted GenSan Opening
On December - 9 - 2008 - 568 views
After a delay of 4 days, General Santos City’s last festival for the year, the Pasko-Sa-GenSan 2008 or more popularly known for its theme, Enchanted GenSan: Once upon Yuletide Season was finally launched last Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Oval Plaza stage.
Below is the panoramic shot of the oval plaza from A Photographic Saga, photoblog of my friend Leonard Pe. He shot this photo from the stage, minutes after the Fireworks Display to mark the official start of Enchanted GenSan.

Bariles is a Filipino word for “Tuna”, the primary source of income of the people of General Santos City which hosts 6 of the Philippines’ 8 tuna canneries and more than 80% of its tuna processing plants.

Nice panoramic shot.
I was at Veranda Cafe with a couple of my officemates that friday night. for the first in my 5 years stay in GenSan to watch the fireworks display this close. what a spectacular view. At least now you know a place where to hang out whenever an activity such this is taking place.

I love the fireworks display, parang i went back to my childhood days, haha, i went there with my hubby last saturday, and it was very cool. I love the concept of having an enchanted park right in the midst of the city, last Monday night naman, we brought along our kids, they were awed at the place, we will surely be back.

Xa nga pla, sa mga magic lovers out there… 12th Summit members are performing sa may fairyland whenever they are available… I just did a show there kanina… Fairyland on my point of view is the best booth which represents holy trinity college.. From time to time may magician from the group who will be there to perform…

ganda rin ng drum and lyre comp..
kaso, parang merong kaunting pandaraya sa highschool category kasi,
kung tutuusin, mas maganda talagang tingnan ang performance ng entry no.4(NDGSC)keysa sa entry no.2(SPED)
[hindi ako sure kung anong num ng SPED, feel ko lang no.2 hehe]..
sorry sa mga natamaan..
unfair kasi.. hehe..
sayang ang gastos, practice, etc..
tapos, mauuwi lng rin sa pandaraya.

It’s also unfair for the judges which the city invited to accuse them na “nandaya”. They may have their own basis for their decisions and whatever they decide, whether we like it or not, is final. I also saw the NDGSC perform and was impressed but I am not a judge so I’d better accept it at that. Better luck next time na lang. Peace to all this Christmas!

i went to oval last night.. first time nakita na jud nko ang “ENCHANTED” ni mayor na project..hehehehe kala ko yung ibang enchanted (kidding aside)….nalingaw jud mga kids nko gabii sa lugar… mubalik jud ko didto before the christmas.. wen ang last night or big night ng enchanted kuya? unta mka adto ko… tnx
