Coming soon: Pacquiao-Stallone movie!

The Philippine Star in its online edition today, January 13, 2009 published a report by writer Abac Cordero which states that the business manager of Manny Pacquiao, Eric Pineda revealed that his boss and Hollywood heavyweight actor/director/producer Sylvester Stallone are in talks for a Pacquiao-Stallone movie!

Sylvester Stallone is well known for his roles as the boxer Rocky Balboa in a series of hit movies, the Vietnam vet Rambo, the gun-for-hire Cobra, among others.

According to Pineda, Pacquiao (fresh from his month-long birthday celeb) and Stallone met at the LA office of the actor who brought along his sons, Michael and Jimwell, who were later gifted with boxing gloves.
The two later discussed plans for the Pacquiao-Stallone movie which could be some sort of a “Rush Hour” type, the hit comedy starring Jackie Chan and Cris Tucker.
Well, considering that Manny has been acting in movies and commercials here in the Philippines for quite sometime, I am sure that if this Pacquiao-Stallone movie materializes, he will give us one hell of a performance which could be worthy of an OSCAR. Hehehe!
Question is, whose name will be billed first? And how much will the sharing be in the revenues from the box office receipts and DVD sales/rentals later?
And lastly, will it be under Rocky Balboa Productions, Golden Boy Promotions or MP Promotions?
Am sure with Atty. Jeng Gacal around, Manny Pacquiao will get the best deal in what promises to be a future monumental epic of a movie that is bound to break box-office records everywhere! Hehehe!

First sa boxing, then TV commercials, then sa video game ( I dont know kung alam to ng ibang tao but Manny is one of the characters in EA Sport’s video game called Fight Night 3 in Playstation 2 ), then TV Shows, then movie. Parang Rush Hour 3 ang movie??? hmm..ano kaya itsura nun, ewan ko lang kung comedy like kasi si Stallone serious actor yun except during his earlier days as an actor, dami nyang comedy na ginawa. Boxing related rin siguro ang movie, bakbakan talaga to for sure!!! The moment na lalabas ang movie tiyak talaga puno ang mga sinehan sa Gensan.
Speaking of movies, andaming magagandang movies na magaganda for 2009!

story line for the movie:
SLY is a washed-up boxing champion, who succumbed to alcohol (or drugs) after he lost his title; and is working on being sober and living the… learning of his former trainer’s death, SLY travels to the Philippines (or somewhere in the Pacific) to pay his respects…
MANNY is a man from the barrio, whose aim is to provide for his family… to earn some cash, MANNY is also a street fighter/brawler… SLY saw him fight as he was walking in a street, and sees himself in him – brash, tough, and full of aggression… SLY takes MANNY under his wing, and trains him in boxing… earning for MANNY a shot at a world title, which he eventually wins… MANNY then enjoys the good life (money, girls, booze, gambling, “the works”…), at this time, he does not heed his trainer’s advice… they parted ways, as MANNY seeks for a new trainer… on his first (or second) defense, he loses the title to his opponent, and he begins a “personal downward spiral”, much like the one SLY went through… SLY, who doesn’t want MANNY to tread the same “path”, consoles him, and begins working with him again, and eventually, landing for MANNY another shot at the title – which he wins…
it’s a little cheesy; though it’s my shot to fame… hehehe…
