BlueGre Coffee GenSan opens

Posted by bariles On March - 3 - 2009 - Visited 2097 times, 2 so far today

It’s been a week now since the newest coffee shop in town opened in General Santos City.

Named BluGre Coffee GenSan and owned by Davao-based couple Gatchi and Larce Gatchalian, this outlet is located at the controversial JMP Building of Manny and Jinky Pacquiao, who incidentally are its first franchisees.

Here are two pictures taken during its blessing on Monday, February 23, 2009 courtesy of professional fotog Apple Francisco and GCC Camera Club President Dong Pading.

On Thursday. February 26, it was the turn of the Soccsksargen Bloggers to hold their 2nd Plurk Fiesta at the venue and try out Blugre’s coffee concoctions.

They were Gilbert, Sheng, Kyawster, Rammyboi, Jinky, Tanchin, Raincindy, Samara Fae, Leonard and Jes.  Too bad, the Wifi wasn’t available that time contrary to Gatchi’s promise.  He had to treat us to his delicious chips and dips to appease those who brought their laptops.

Bariles recommends both the Durian Gatchpuccino which is basically a Capuccino with bits of durian topped with whipped cream and Blugre Larcepuccino, durian-flavored ice-blended coffee.  You haven’t been to Blugre if you have not tasted any of these two.

Another thing good about Blugre is that they serve breakfast and other meals together with their coffee and juice drinks.  And yes, for those who would like a can of ice-cold San Mig, they’re available too, regular or light.

Blugre is open from 9am to 2am on weekends and 9am to 12 midnight on weekdays.

The following pictures were shot during that Plurk Fiesta of the Soccsksargen Bloggers while the last four, during the opening of BluGre Coffee.
