Hehehe! That’s a good way to spend the brownouts sweet. Problem is you get tempted to spend money there.

@Belle Sales Canlas – Hi Belle! Don’t mention. Pleasure is mine. Keep those P.R.’s coming.
@dimple – Hahaha! That’s saying a lot.
@Marco – You’re lucky. Pity those who have no generators. Even Manny Pacquiao’s BluGre franchise here in GenSan has no generator.
@rosilie – Medyo less frequent na ngayon so you can now take a bath and do your chores. Yesterday, I counted 2 brownouts na lang.
@littlfoot – Hahaha! Sayang naman, just th same… perwisyo pa.
@jessica – Thanks. Feel free to subscribe to my posts.

Daxi Weida Says:
“NGCP only gives power utilities their corresponding load limits under the curtailment scheme, while the latter decide which feeders to drop at planned periods.”
NGCP should clarify the above statement further with the power utilities (e.g. SOCOTECO). Here in Marbel, the automatic (and only) reply SOCOTECO ONE knows when asked of any info (as to cause, duration, or whatever) about a power outage is “di namon bal-an kay sa NPC na siya”.
Information like those contained in the press release above help ease the misery these brownouts/blackouts are causing us consumers; especially if these info are delivered to the public speedily. In these latest blackouts, not even Bombo Radyo knew what was going on, as of Tuesday, March 24.
Perhaps, NGCP should consider providing the public a 24/7 hotline.

Belle Sales Canlas Says:
Hello Mr. Daxi:
Magandang GenSan!
Please allow me to respond to your valid concerns:
1) “NGCP only gives power utilities their corresponding load limits under the curtailment scheme, while the latter decide which feeders to drop at planned periods.”
We understand the slight confusion it might have caused. In fact, our power customers (electric cooperatives (EC) and distribution utility (DU)) really obliged us with advance information on loads to be curtailed. We worked as much to provide them the required document each day.
But when we say that the electric cooperatives will implement the load-shedding, it means that the electric cooperatives have control over what feeders to curtail. It is no longer our control.
Please know that we are not passing the buck; we are just stating a fact. However, during those critical days, we also experienced unscheduled power interruptions owing to line constraints (as explained in the Press Release), and these interruptions occurring early afternoons were not part of the load-shedding scheme.
2) “Information like those contained in the press release above help ease the misery these brownouts/blackouts are causing us consumers; especially if these info are delivered to the public speedily. In these latest blackouts, not even Bombo Radyo knew what was going on, as of Tuesday, March 24.
Perhaps, NGCP should consider providing the public a 24/7 hotline.”
We take note of the recommendations.
Thank you.
