uhmmm, naa man siguro appropriate na site para ipanghambog ang NDMU noh? murag mali man ni nga site ang naadtuan ni PUGITA… hambog ba jud mga tao sa NDMU? tan-awa ra gud ang ginabuhat aning isa diri. isa pa, wala man sa kagwapo sa laboratory ang quality education siguro di ba? kung ana man lang ilang way of thinking (the “competition” which is a WRONG WAY OF THINKING) i don’t care and we don’t care about the NDMU na lang eh, anyway, we have NDDU here. Hay, na lang jud they’re putting their co-Marist family as if they’re the best well in fact these schools have the same founder, incorporate same values, share one vision and mission.

i’m sorry it happened to you… i would like to share a contrast with you – my experience – when i was still pursuing my degree in nddc (now nddu) more that 10 years ago… i’d like to put in my “two cents” into this one… RUBEN is correct that we have to look into the student handbook, as it contains the provisions that one must follow when enrolled in an educational institution… however, i am also no stranger to this as we were not taking our our p.e. classes and rotc (in my time) when i joined the chorale – to put it in in simple terms, it is our premium when we devote our time and effort in daily practices, rehearsals, presentation, etc… however, we have a moderator and a conductor who gives us the grades based on our attendance (in practices and rehearsals), participation (in performances), and over-all effort in projects that we initiate back then… it is not an exemption of not attending classes back then (we still have to report for rotc exams); it is more of taking another route to the aforementioned subjects… i suggest that you review your student handbook on the provisions given to student-athletes (or participants to extra-curricular/co-curricular activities) just like yourself, and you may talk to the administration ragarding your grades… i would say that being a student-athlete does not excuse one from not attending classes, regardless if it is p.e. or nstp (or pgs), unless otherwise enacted by someone or something… in my time, the arrangement/ruling was passed by the previous school president in the hope that the school would be able to put up a chorale group to call its own back then (1997)… we may have been given priviliges for not attending p.e. and rotc, but we also have our reasons why we endure and devote our time to 2-hour daily practices, endless rehearsals, and on-the-spot presentations… it may be that you have overlooked on some details – was the arrangement approved by the administration, were there signed documents, were there arrangements for the grades (clearly, you need to have a basis for the grades), and how is performance gauged in being a student-athlete for one to be graded for both subjects… and lastly, i have to agree with RUBEN (again) that you refer this with the concerned administrator… your problem cannot be resolved by posting comments here… although i have to admit that this blogsite is a must-read for everyone… good luck!!!

Magpapatulong po sana ako regarding sa exemption ng mga varsity players ng NDDU na binigyan ng failure remarks sa P.E. and N.S.T.P. subjects na in fact pinaghirapan naman ng mga players ng NDDU to uphold the name of their alma matter and I think its very unfair that in behalf of everything that the varsity player trying to pursue failure remarks yung isusukli sa kanila . Nakakalungkot isipin na walang coordination ang bawat department ng NDDU especially in Sports and NSTP coordinator. Sana there is a CHED official who will look forward regarding on this issue thanks..

i have to agree with you, MAMAVIA… i think hoteliers, chefs, maitre d’s, and concierges would be fit teachers in this field; as they are the ones with experience and expertise in this field… though a new course in the institution, the school should be able to provide apt and qualified instructors in their subects as well… if we say that professionals in this field are in demand all over the world, the schould would need to provide world-class education (in standard), so that the graduates would be competent when they practice their careers…

KUY… baka puwede mong makulit ang admin ng school na i-develop yung website nila… mas nindot pa ang website sa ndmu… through a website, it can boost its mileage to “pogi points”, and it would provide an avenue for the alumni to get in touch with each other… watchatink? “two cents” ko lang po…

sa tingin ko ‘di naman kukuha ng fresh graduate teachers ang NDDU kasi dapat masters or doctoral degree ang qualifications for their teachers. kung kukuha man sila ng fresh grad, pinapag-aral muna nila ng master’s degree or higher sa Ateneo, La salle or UST and all-expense paid or half (depende) by the school

i agree with you mamavia, I have always felt too that our professors are the true and best textbooks for us students.

it’s nice to know na dami na hrm schools dito gensan. sana lang competitive din ang mga teachers nila, kasi yun ibang schools na nag ooffer ng hrm, mga fresh graduates ang teachers. i graduated with bs hrm degree 10 yrs ago,and my teachers then were hoteliers as well. i think the students need an experienced teacher bec 50% of what they need to teach are based on experience…not just only in what u read in books. yun lang po…hehe. goodluck to nddu!!!

not specifically on NDDU but rather to most newly sprouting schools and old schools with a motive of simply gaining profit. . . though its good since they give job opportunities to a lot of people but i wish they don't forget that the school is for learning and not for capitalistic gain. . . I cracked up on people's thought about schools competing on having the most students or having better facilities instead the schools should do some benchmarking for good and quality education onwards. . .
