Cover Layout of OLPGV Parish Golden Anniversary Commemorative Book Unveiled!

In a lively program hosted by DXCP announcer Beth Bagonoc and Asia United Bank AVP Orman Manansala yesterday morning, May 1st, 2009, at the parish grounds, the cover design for the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book of the Parish of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, was unveiled to the guests and visitors composed of parish workers, volunteers, officers and members of the different parish zones, religious organizations and ministries.

The cover, designed by one of the winners, Leonard Pe features one of the TOP 5 winning photos in the Tahanan ni Maria Photo Contest.  It was shot by GenSan Camera Club member Joey Cue who named it “John 3:16″.  View the rest of the winning photos by CLICKING HERE.

During the program, the 5 photographers of the winning photos were awarded their cash prizes of P5,000 each and token, a beautifully-design cup courtesy of Prints and You.  The Bariles Republic Blog Reader’s Choice Award was also given out to Dino Kintanar who was represented by GenSan Camera Club President Dong Pading.  He got P2,500 in cash.

Later on, all the qualifiers were also given their certificates of appreciation and takens by OLPGV Parish Priest Nonito Adorable, CP, Dr. Joy Belinda del Norte, Architect Michael Ang and Rector Manny Gellez, CP (the commemorative book chairperson).

Tahanan ni Maria Photo Exhibit

Finally the Tahanan ni Maria Photo Exhibit was formally opened by Vice Mayor Flor Congson, Parish Economic Council George Lim and Fr. Nonito.  All the 33 photos featured there will be part of the Golden Anniversary Commemorative Book.

The Tahanan ni Maria Photo exhibit will run until May 11, 2009 at the OLPGV Parish grounds.  Please do not fail to watch it.  Donations are still welcome through the Parish Economic Council. You may visit the Parish Convent for more info.  Look for Ate Bebot.

    @Ate Amie, Fr. Edward was transferred to Marikina Parish and joined Fr. Louie Fuestespina, CP there. The acting parish priest of OLPGV right now is really Fr. Nonito.

    Let us not forget though that the Golden Commemorative Book was a brainchild of Fr. Edward.

    speaking of FR. NONITO… saw him on tv last saturday sa show ni jessica soho… the feature was about mrs. (dionisia) pacquiao… wala lang… para maka-comment lang ko…

    hope we’ll have info on where we can purchase the commemorative book, para dagahng makapalit… :)
