Created under RA 1387 as amended through authorship of Senator Domocao A. Alonto, the Mindanao State University was established in Marawi City on September 1, 1961. Dr. Antonio Isidro, former Vice President for Academic Affairs of the University of the Philippines, was its founder and first president.

There are six other autonomous campuses with different thrusts distributed in strategic locations throughout Mindanao: MSU IIT, MSU General Santos, MSU Sulu, MSU Maguindanao, MSU Naawan and MSU Tawi-Tawi. Under the propulsion of a unique and noble mission, each campus is making strides towards excellence.

Hindi lng NDDU ang autonomous na higher education institution..
NDMU ang MSU-GSC are both autonomous..

  15. bariles Says:

@jess, hi! I was referring to PRIVATE HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS so that leaves the MSU group out, belonging to another category. But thank you for mentioning NDMU.

Well, CONGRATS to my alma mater! You make us proud again. I hope NDDU will never stop its laurels and continue to strive to be of service to the community with excellent education thrusts and affordable tuition fees and yet better facilities, maintained highly equipt faculties.

Posted on May 30th, 2009 at 8:22 PM

  19. white knight Says:

In addition, I hope NDDU will join national competitions such as the ANC Square Off debate, sports like V-League, etc in order to enhance its image and competitiveness in education leadership such as what other schools here in Mindanao did (ADDU, XU, MSU-Marawi & Iligan). Kulang pa gyud ang exposure sa school nato when it comes to students development. Dapat mailhan gyud ang NDDU not only in Region XII, but to the national level as well.

Regarding the website of NDDU. Well, i agree with epm & gensanite, etc. that its about time our school’s website should be more interactive and pleasing to watch. If ever sir bariles will be tapped as consultant, to enhance Nddu’s website, my suggestion is to get a glimpse of how those top philippine school’s website looks such as: admu.edu.ph, dlsu.edu.ph, ust.edu.ph,usc.gov.ph,usjr.edu.ph, addu, edu,ph, up.edu,ph. Layo ra kaayo atong website.Nindot pa ang ndmu.edu.ph ug ndmc.edu.ph in midsayap. Just a suggestion…
