PGMA, Mayor Acharon to sign Statement of Acceptance of Unified Biz Form

Posted by bariles On June - 9 - 2009 - Visited 1878 times, 3 so far today

The President, Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will once again visit Soccsksargen for two days, starting tomorrow, Thursday, June 11 until June 12th, 2009.  This is actually her 3rd visit this year, the latest being her acceptance of rebel returnees with People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao and her full cabinet meeting at the Phela Grande Convention Center in General Santos City last May 2009.

First on her agenda is the Formal Signing of the Statement of Acceptance of the Business Registration and Licensing Unified Form and Memorandum of Agreement for the Pangasius Techno-Demo Farm at the Dolores Farm, Polomolok, South Cotabato, a sister establishment of Dolores Tropicana Resort Hotel.

This form was purposely rolled out to simplify the process of business registration.

One of the signatories to these docs is Mayor Jun Acharon of General Santos City, chief executive of one of the key cities which hosts the National Economic Research and Business Assistance Center (NERBAC).  The Business Registration and Licensing Form which will be accepted by both the President and the Mayor together with other stakeholders will be utilized by the NERBAC all throughout the country.

This form was purposely rolled out to simplify the process of business registration.  It is a multi-paged electronic document containing a custom-designed form and all the necessary forms required to apply for business licenses in the country.  Take note however that these forms are designed for sole proprietorships and domestic corporations.

The unified form contains those of the DTI, SEC, LGU, BIR, SSS, PHIC, CDA and PAG-IBIG aside from detailed instructions and navigation elements to facilitate encoding and submission of the forms to concerned government agencies.

Below is the invitation card to this activity.

Aside from that, President Arroyo will also be signing the Memo of Agreement for the Pangasius Techno-Demo Ponds.

Pangasius, a variety of catfish endemic in Vietnam are now being grown in various ponds in Soccsksargen. It is one of Vietnam’s biggest export earners and the President’s signing of the MOA will strengthen the Philippines’ competitiveness in the whitefish market in the EU, USA and ASEAN countries.

Right now, Pangasius fish fillet is being served in some GenSan Restaurants.

The following day, June 12th, the President will proceed to Koronadal City where she will lead in the 111th Independence Day Celebration.

During the 2004 elections she didn’t pay a visit to our region (if my memory serves me right). Maybe she realized now that the region is an important block in our country as a food basket. :)

You’re absolutely right dimple. Well, as for me i still not believe on her track record to be honest. Yes, may nagawa nga si PGMA sa pinas as a whole but this couldn’t compensate on the issues continue to haunt her which is not just a mere proganda but a reality. Kaya para sa akin, i dont care kung nandito sya ngayon until june 12. This are all publicity & pakitang tao lang. sorry…
