I believe Easy Rock was then the W-Rock that I used to listen to back then in Metro D. I think MBC has taken over the operations of W-Rock and they have expanded their operations to GenSan.

For me I still do like the old “W-Rock” format. Mas may class kasi at mahirap nang palitan ang nakasanayan. Nonetheless welcome to GenSan Easy Rock!

Others may have mistaken that EZ Rock 88.7 and Easy Rock 94.3 are just one and same station. No, they are different. The now defunct EZ Rock, which was located at RD Building, was a subsidiary of Audiovisual Communicators, Inc., which owns Monster Radio. Easy Rock is a subsidiary of Manila Broadcasting Company of the Elizalde brothers, which owns K101 FM – Love Radio.

this is good addition to the city’s radio stations… i have to agree with you, KUY, on the music… last time i went home, mura’g AM na ang format sa FM radio stations… gone were the days of good music na gyud… well, this would probably blow the airwaves in a different direction… all my best to easy rock 94.3… i’m sure the management would do its best that the radio station would make its mark in the city with their brand of music and programming… and i guess the management is on top of things with the quality of their on-air personalities/disc jockeys to fit their radio format…

just an added note; back in my mbc days (before my days with ANNA @ 97.5), this frequency was operated by dwst-showbiz tsismis (via remote transmission from manila), then operated by yes fm (via remote transmission from manila)… the “ez rock” (88.7 mhz) in rd plaza should not be confused with this “easy rock”, as the former is/was owned and operated by audiovisual communicators incorporated…

@ SIR DODIE: KUYA AVEL/BARILES has good audio by the way… if you’re short of talent, i bet he’d be willing to have another run (part-time) in broadcasting…
