10th ATOP National Convention opens!
Bariles through this post would like to welcome all the 800+ delegates of the 10th National Convention of the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) to General Santos City, the Tuna Capital of the Philippines and the Gateway to SOCCSKSARGEN!
Magandang GenSan po sa lahat!
The convention started last night with a welcome dinner at the KCC Convention Center tendered by GenSan City Mayor Jun Acharon. This annual event will end on October 5, 2009.
Right now, all the city’s hotels, pension houses, lodging houses are fully-booked, an incident we hope to replicate again as Robinsons Mall’s opening has heightened investors’ interest in the city. Yey!
It was the ATOP which awarded the Tuna Festival as 2nd Best Festival – City Category in the country last year. Let us hope we make it as THE BEST of all the best during the awarding ceremonies tomorrow evening.

Nice One GENSAN! Hope we can be “THEBEST” this year… Bongga na talaga GENSAN, Dami mga conventions held in the city! fully – booked na naman mga hotels nito! GANDA EVER SO MUCH talaga! lol…
Because of this kind of events and happenings, kelangan natin ng additional accomodations for visitors and tourists! WOw! More hotels, pension houses etc! NOW NA!
