As a public service to GenSan News Online Mag‘s readers and subscribers, it is proud to present the 2010 Philippine Public Holidays, based on President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s Presidential Proclamation 1841; together with the 2010 Muslim Holidays and GenSan City Local Holidays.

- April 1 – Maundy Thursday
- April 2 – Good Friday
- April 9 (Friday) – Araw ng Kagitingan
- May 1 - (Saturday) Labor Day
- June 14 (Monday nearest June 12) – Independence Day
- August 30 (Last Monday of August) – National Heroes’ Day
- November 29 (Monday nearest November 30) – Bonifacio Day
- December 25 (Saturday) – Christmas Day
- December 27 (Monday nearest December 30) – Rizal Day
2010 Philippine Special (Non-Working) Days
- August 23 (Monday nearest August 21) – Ninoy Aquino Day
- November 1 (Monday) – All Saints’ Day

Based on these 2010 Philippine Public Holidays, here are the LONG WEEKENDS declared by Malacanang:

- August 21 to 23 (Ninoy Aquino Day)
- August 28 to 30 (National Heroes’ Day)

- December 31 to January 2, 2011 (New Year’s Day)
With all these lists, doesn’t that make the Philippines the country with the most number of Public Holidays??? Not that I am complaining of course.

Hehehe, since naging region12 na tayo ang daming holidays. Other big companies hindi na nila sinusunod ang local holidays natin. Kaya tama ka Morbanitoe. Its really heaven to the employees but a “hell” to our employers.
