SOCOTECO II’s Brownout Schedules for April and May 2010

Posted by bariles On April - 6 - 2010 - 71 views

Bariles just received today through his email, SOCOTECO II’s new schedule of BROWNOUTS for April and May 2010.  At this very time when the people of General Santos City could not anymore predict when the next debilitating brownout hits their homes and offices, this comes as a relief!  As to relief from these daily “earth hours” though, only God knows.

Anyway, if this your first time to check Socoteco’s brownout schedules, try to determine to which FEEDER your location belongs to and its GROUPING, A or B.  Here is the chart below to help you to do just that.

Feeders Group a & B

Now that you know if your location is in Group A or Group B, check your brownout schedules below.  Click the + sign to enlarge the document.

Brownout Schedule April&May 2010

Now try checking the May 10, Election Day schedule.

See? May brownouts pa rin???!!!!!

  10. L.A. Secret Says:

People of Gensan, let us not be naive on our views of the power crisis situation by arrogantly denying the real existing need of electricity for a growing population.

Let us remember that we and our families in the Philippines are the one’s suffering.

The lesson’s from resisting to operate the Bataan Nuclear Power Station, but still paying for it is a clear case of the people resisting what is good for the Pinoy’s. We had been fooled to believe that it is DANGEROUS and the location is not suited for it..

In the 80′s Marcos had already anticipated this need of Power Generation, Korean’s were still going to the Philippines to earn Pesos to be sent to Korea, Now Pinoy’s are going to Korea to earn tsk..tskk… They Built exactly the same model of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant an use it, but we were ahead to set it up here but never utilize it — Kasi sabi ni kwan na politician… etc..etc…

    Lesson:
Don’t be Blind. Population are growing each second in Gensan. We need power to provide us our comfort. Any solution available must be explored and used to our advantage. Don’t be afraid of changes but rather grow with it.

    Question:
    What have you done to contribute for the following;
    1. Energy Conservation at your home?
    2. Waste disposal at your home?
    3. Water usage at your home?
    4. Food Supplies and consumption?

All these are using energy and power either in growing it, pumping it, clean it, lighting it, cooking with it.

Wake up GENERALS!… do you share, do not resist, otherwise stop having new born babies!..

  12. L.A. Secret Says:

@ Toinks…..you can call you family whatever you want, but the fact remains that Gensan needs additional power generating capacity. Now what would you suggest to solve it? Are you doing your part in conserving energy?

  20. BrAvO SiX Says:

@toinks…according to Philippine geography under the Sinawal Bridge mao kani ang tubag sa imo question..

    1. Marikina Valley Fault (Montalban-San Mateo-Marikina-Pasig-Taguig-Muntinlupa San Pedro-Binan-Carmona-Santa Rosa-Calamba-Tagaytay-Oriental Mindoro)

    2. Western Philippine Fault (Luzon Sea-Mindoro Strait-Panay Gulf-Sulu Sea)

    3. Eastern Philippine Fault (Philippine Sea)

    4. Southern Mindanao Fault (Moro Gulf-Celebes Sea)

    5. Central Philippine Fault (Entire Ilocos Norte-Aurora-Quezon-Masbate-Eastern Leyte-Southern Leyte-Agusan Del Norte-Agusan Del Sur-Davao del Norte)

Of these, the MARIKINA VALLEY FAULT poses the greatest danger because it custs through all the modern and progressive portions of Manila such as Eastwood, Rockwell, Ortigas Center, Bonifacio Global City, Ayala Center, and Alabang. Also, the PhiVolcs people have warned that this fault line can move anytime because it is already “11 years late” for its movement.

sakto lagi ako ingon nimo toinks nga sa Bula ibutang ang usa ka nuclear plant..kanang unahan banda sa Buayan airport…before sa bridge padong Alcantara ranch…hahahahahaha….!

    GO NUCLEAR…..! be realistic….!

  36. Kai Says:

Nuclear Power can be very dangerous. If a “melt down” (also known as China Syndrome) happens all life will end near the nuclear plant. Think about Tchernobyl 1986. It was a disaster and radioactivity reached as far as 3000km.
Coal fired plants can have good filter systems and are then not poluting at all.

Posted on May 1st, 2010 at 3:45 PM

  37. BrAvO SiX Says:

@KAI: Nuclear power plant this days are far more better & safer than those on the 80′s. The GENERATION III reactors which are common and utilized by those highly industrialized countries are far more efficient than those its predecessors. even more safer is the coming of GENERATION IV reactors which is under develop at this time and will not be available until 2030.

    COAL-FIRED POWER PLANTS STILL SUCKS..!

WILL YOU PLEASE treat your customer properly!!!? i went to your office today (nov, 29, 2010)at about 8:30 in the morning to follow up my re-connection, which was supposed to be done on Nov. 19, 10.. someone told me that i will just wait at my home, it was almost 11 am, yet nothing arrived from SOCOTECO for the reconnection. When I called at your land line, someone answered my call, then connect me to “re-connection office”, when i was about to talk to the one in charged to the reconnection, the call was suddenly cut and when I tried to call again for three times, it just ring then, disconnected again.. As your consumer, I have the right to a PROPER SERVICE and TREATMENT.. it’s unfair on my part to wait for ten (10) days for the reconnection!!! and be treated improperly!!!!
