Blogfest Soccsksargen 2010 is all systems go!

A few weeks after the idea was hatched up by a closeknit group of blogger friends who felt that it was ripe and timely for a large Bloggers gathering in General Santos City, judging from requests from a lot of blogging enthusiasts, it’s now all systems go for the first BLOGFEST SOCCSKSARGEN 2010.

A brainchild of the the members of the core group of the locally famous Soccsksargen Bloggers, the self-proclaimed “Mindanao’s Funnest” Blogging Community, frontlined by Lead Convenor and major driver Bariles of GenSantos.comBLOGFEST SOX 2010 gathers at least a hundred bloggers and web geeks from all over Southern Mindanao under one roof for a day to listen to and learn from some of the internet’s most respected luminaries.

Google Philippines’ Aileen Apolo-de Jesus, Presidential Communications Operations Office Manager Jay Jaboneta, UP Diliman Department of Journalism Professor Danilo Arao, Davao Bloggers President Ria Abella Jose, Soccsksargen Tourism Advocate Michelle Lopez-Solon, Digital Filipino’s Janette Toral, Zamboanga Multi-media Guru Ryann Elumba, Web Presence Strategist Fil-Am Dale Palileo, and. Internet Security Expert Bobby Soriano all willing and eager to increase your passion for the much vaunted New Media!

Giving the Keynote Speeches to inspire and challenge them are GenSan Mayor Darlene Antonino-Custodio and Representative Pedro B. Acharon, Jr. of the 1st District of South Cotabato.

If these people wouldn’t make you better Bloggers, we do not know what else will.

BlogFest 2010 Schedule

There’s only one word to describe this set-up –  AWESOME!!

The Blogfest Sox 2010 will happen on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Grand Ballroom of East Asia Royale Hotel, National Highway, General Santos City from 7:30am to 6:00pm.  East Asia Royale Hotel is Blogfest 2010’s Platinum Partner and Venue Sponsor.

To make sure that the Programme goes well are two of GenSan’s best hosts –  bloggers Joana Grace Lapore (Dean, College of MassCom, RMMC) and Jay Dayupay (News Anchor, ABS-CBN Soccsksargen).

Online registration for the Blogfest Sox 2010 only started less than two weeks ago but the 100 slots have been filled up already at this writing. The deadline of payment is on Friday, December 10 at 5pm.

Walk-in registrants could be on waitlist to check if there are no-shows, one hour into the programme on Saturday, December 11.
