Miramar Resto’s Merienda Buffet

Posted by bariles On December - 5 - 2010 3 COMMENTS

Lunch and dinner buffet offerings are catching up like wildfire in General Santos City these days.  With the influx of more and newer restaurants, existing dining establishments need to come up with  promotions to entice more clients and maintain old ones.

Sydney Hotel’s Miramar Restaurant which has just reinvented itself wants to prove that it is no pushover when it comes to concocting marketing gimmicks to bring them all back in.  Being at the center of GenSan’s downtown, it has come up with something meant for the hundreds of employees in the government and private sectors from the offices within their peripheral.

And so, just like magic, here they are with Miramar Restaurant’s Merienda Buffet – Eat-All-You-Can!

For only P99.00 a pop, guests could partake of assorted Pinoy, Chinese and Western Merienda fare like Pancit Palabok, Fresh Lumpia Ubod, siomaoi, batchoy, donuts, kakanin, spaghetti among others.

And while feasting on these delights from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, they could enjoy the FREE USE of Miramar Restaurant’s WI-FI!  Now, isn’t that cool?

Miramar Restaurant is at the 2nd floor of Sydney Hotel (owner of Isla Jardin del Mar) which can be found at the corner of Pioneer Avenue and Pendatun Avenue. It faces Plaza Heneral Santos which can be seen through the windows of Miramar Restaurant.

Good very affordable food, good location, good ambience and good view!!!  What more can a general ask for?

Bariles judges “Best Cebu Blogs 2010″ Search

Posted by bariles On December - 4 - 2010 2 COMMENTS

Bariles is proud to announce that he is one of three judges who have been tasked to choose 2010′s “Best Cebu Blogs”.

The search for the “Best Cebu Blogs” is conducted by an independent award-giving body that actually started in 2008 with Mark Monta, a Cebu-based blogger.  Its objective is to “recognize the existence and relevance of blogging in Cebu’s local online scene.

Furthermore, it also “aspires to augment Cebu bloggers’ influence in the general cyber community world.”  This awarding body also “focuses on pooling the Top 10 Blogs with excellent and relevant content that promotes everything about Cebu to the world.”

For this year, 20 finalists have already been chosen from out of the many nominations received by the Best Cebu Blogs 2010 Team.

GenSan News Online Mag would like to recognize the efforts of Mark Monta and his team for being able to come up and sustain this yearly competition which encourages Cebuanos not only to blog but to blog well.  Cebu-based bloggers are some of the better English writers that we have but they also have good writers in their native Cebuano.

Bariles is indebted to Team Best Cebu Blogs 2010 for the distinction of helping them out with this annual task along with two other bloggers from Luzon (Azrael Deasis Coladilla) and the Visayas (Stanley Cabigas).  Bariles graduated from the University of the Philippines College in Cebu where he was a National State Scholar of the DepEd, and has since considered the island as his 2nd home (Cagayan de Oro being his 3rd).
