It’s official and final!
Newly-crowned GenSan beauty, Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Shamcey Supsup will be flying back to the Tuna Capital for a grand Hero’s Welcome tomorrow, April 13, 2011!
Despite her very hectic schedule, the Bb. Pilipinas Charities through the request of MinDA Secretary Lualhati Antonino and GenSan Mayor Darlene Antonino-Custodio was able to grant her permission to come back to her hometown and thank the generals for all their support.
Shamcey will be arriving via a private jet at the General Santos City International Airport at 2:45pm tomorrow, April 13, 2011 where she will be received by Congressman Jun Acharon of the 1st District of South Cotabato and other city dignitaries.
She will then be whisked off to the City Oval Plaza where a float awaits her for her quick motorcade around the city.
This is her motorcade route: Oval – Pendatun – Pioneer Avenue – Acharon – Santiago – Laurel – Quirino – Osmena – City Hall. Make sure you situate yourself along any part of this route if you want to see our compatriot in person.
At the City Hall, Shamcey will pay a Courtesy Call on Mayor Darlene Antonino-Custodio who incidentally, was present at the Araneta Coliseum the night she competed and won; and, to meet other city officials and supporters. A Presscon will follow at 4:30pm at the City Mayor’s Conference Room.
After her appearance before the local media, the Notre Dame of Lagao alumnus will then proceed to Barangay Katangawan and meet her family, friends and supporters.
The following day, Thursday, April 14, 2011, the new Bb. Pilipinas-Universe title holder will be part of the welcome party at the airport for the arrival of the President of the Philippines, His Excellency Benigno S. Aquino III who will be in town for the 23rd National Convention of the Prosecutors League of the Philippines.
So please retweet, share this on Facebook and make sure that a lot of people will go out of their offices, homes and schools to meet and greet and give tribute to another general who has made us even prouder and showed to the country that General Santos City is indeed the Wellspring of Winners!
