Shamcey is M Magazine’s Cover Girl!

Miss Universe 3rd-runner Shamcey Supsup who was just given a rousing hero’s welcome in General Santos City a couple of weeks ago is the latest cover girl of Mindanao’s #1 Travel and Lifestyle publication – M Magazine.

Miss Shamcey Supsup, who hails from General Santos City, follows the steps of celebrities who have also made it to its cover, like Margie Moran, Dawn Zulueta,  Atty. Adel Tamano, KC Concepcion, Juris Fernandez, Vina Morales, Juliana Palermo, to name just a few.

For her fabulous cover photo, the Miss Universe 3rd-runner up winner was shot by lensman Raymond Saldana.  The inside article about her is entitled “The Universe according to Shamcey Gurrea Supsup“.

Bariles is a Filipino word for “Tuna”, the primary source of income of the people of General Santos City which hosts 6 of the Philippines’ 8 tuna canneries and more than 80% of its tuna processing plants.

The city boasts of the only “Tuna Festival” in the world celebrated every September 5 in commemoration of its charterhood anniversary.

Bariles is also the alias of this blog's author who would like nothing than to write about his beloved city by the bay and share it with his kababayans from all over.

Aside from being a blogger, Bariles is a Google Map Maker enthusiast, the Convenor of the annual Blogfest Soccskargen, the organizer of the SEX Tour for Bloggers and the co-founder & self-proclaimed mother hen of the Soccsksargen Bloggers. His daytime job? Media Affairs Officer of the highest office of the city.
