DFA GenSan moving to Robinsons

01/31/2012 by bariles in Government Office with 7 Comments - 775 Views

Just got word from the management of Robinsons Place General Santos that their mall will soon be playing host to the regional office of the Department of Foreign Affairs!

This means that the DFA which has been occupying a building inside the Gaisano compound for the past three years will soon be packing her bags, by the 2nd quarter of 2012.

To follow suit are the offices of NBI and maybe, franchisees of SSS, Philhealth, GSIS or LTO.  All these are part of the LINGKOD PINOY CENTER project of Robinsons which it is launching nationwide in all its branches.

The DFA GenSan office will occupy the vacant spaces beside the Cinemaworld Ticket Booth and will extend up to the Department Store.  It will operate based on the mall hours, which is from 9:30am to 8:00pm so expect this to be a more relaxing experience for people applying for passports.

    This is great news! Nong kumuha ako ng passport sa may Gaisano, grabe ang init pumila sa labas at ang haba ng pila. Thanks for posting, Bariles.

      @Nelly, welcome. Ngayon, malamig na sa loob.
      @Toinks, naunahan nila ang KCC..hehehe!
      @Fahdz, indeed it is. :)
      @White Knight, the best customer service initiated so far by Robinsons. Sana tuloy-tuloy na ito to include other NGAs. :D

    Having these kind of one stop customer service is truly remarkable and saying goodbye to heat, poor service and long lines in a place that is not friendly and boring. Imagine, applying for a passport, NBI clearance, driver’s license or renewing in a mall would totally be a new experience. And in a Mall like Robinsons we could not ask for more. Hehe, advertisement na ni…

    By the way i’m sorry for the above word, I might be misinterpret here I didn’t mean that Gaisano has not been a good host. I have my passport renewed last year in their place and it was a smooth and fast service. It takes me only about 30 minutes to process everything. Wala din pa kasi tao since I came early, hehe. Compared to DFA-Davao, its really an inconvenient experience before, when renewing your passport. Maybe because of the influx of applicants coming from other provinces of Davao. So our DFA here is very much relax and cozy to deal with.
