Ayala Land execs visit GenSan

General Santos City is really on a roll!

Last week, four executives of Ayala Land, Incorporated were in the city for an “exploratory trip”, visiting the city’s malls, residential subdivisions and even the Central Public Market, among other interesting spots.

They also paid a courtesy call on City Mayor Darlene Antonino-Custodio.

According to Business Development and Strategic Planning Manager of the Ayala Malls Group, “Since our competition is already here, our next recourse is to follow”, alluding perhaps to Robinsons Land Corp and SM Realty Holdings which have put up their malls in the Tuna Capital.

Together with Ayala Malls Group Manager for Research & Business Analysis Division Atch Torrechante-Vetus and Ayala Land Commercial Business Group Operations Manager Nina Guerrero, he assured Mayor Custodio that his group will be bringing back to their bosses very favorable reports about their visit.

Ayala Land, Inc. is the real estate arm of Ayala Corporation, one of the Philippines’ oldest and largest conglomerates.

It is the holding company for a number of subsidiaries and affiliates, including residential development, commercial and business centers (Glorietta, Greenbelt, Park Square, Market! Market!, Trinoma, Bonifacio High Street, Alabang Town Center, Marquee Mall, Abreeza, Harbor Point, The Landmark, Fairview Terraces, etc.), construction and property development plus Hotels & Leisure (Intercontinental Manila, Cebu Marriot, El Nido Resorts, Our Kukun Hotels, Anvaya Cove, Holiday Inn Makati, Makati Sports Club, Alabang Country Club, etc.)

The local government of General Santos for its part, hopes that the conglomerate could also look into any possible Public-Private Partnership Agreement projects  with the city.

This is over and above any business prospects that Ayala Land Inc. might be eyeing at the Home of Champions, once they realize why typhoon-free and investment-friendly GenSan is on everyone’s business radars these days.

In Mindanao, Ayala Land Inc currently operates a mall in Davao City (Abreeza) and a housing development project in Cagayan de Oro.

So what do you think should they put up in GenSan first?  Hit the comment box below and share to Ayala Land your thoughts.  Am pretty sure, they will be reading this…. :)

the best thing, I think, Ayala could do is to buy a large area and make it into a business district (something like Bonifacio Global City)

    THAT WOULD BE EPIC.

sana hindi na magdikit-dikit ang mga mall dito sa gensan dahil yon lang ang dahilan na mas lalong magkatraffic dito sa gensan.sa pagdikit dikit ng mga establisments.

@louve, mintras sayo pa, anam-anamon jud na sa LGU sa gensan.. ok man pud kung abay-abay ang mga malls like what we have here in cdo, gaisano, atbang kay centrio mall, few meters, soon to be SM mall downtown and luyo is robinsons and limketkai.. but, luag ang gensan, dapat planohon nana daan..

GENSAN!! ikaw na! hope to visit your city guys!! mid-rise buildings? not possible.. dapat HIGH RISE!!!! don’t worry, gensan is destined to becoming one of the most developed city in the philippines…

    from CDO with love

Well, matagal pa mangyayari to. Let us not expect that much. and hey, although generals are mall goers, medyo hindi pa financially stable ang mga tao sa General Santos. for example yung mga high end shops sa robinsons, di na man marami bumibili eh. what more if ayala opens here?

  19. Angela Mae S. Morta (@aNjmorta)09/17/2012 at 3:42 PMReply

How about ibutang ang Ayala sa tambler banda kay halos isang location lang ang mga mall sa Gensan. 2 Lanes lng pala tayo yan ang dahilan bat nagkakatraffic dito.
