A lot of shoppers have been frequenting SM Supermarket GenSan since it opened because of a lot of reasons. One of these is their HAPPY HOUR gimmick!

The Happy Hour is a daily promo at GenSan’s newest supermarket where shoppers who have SM Advantage Cards can enjoy big discounts on fresh items and other groceries for an hour. It happens unannounced and can be given any time of the day so that makes it even more fun and exciting.

Last weekend, I myself was at the supermarket at around 5pm, making my way through my favorite chichiria section when suddenly, it was announced over their public address system that the Happy Hour will start in a few seconds. That was a signal for the shoppers to start looking around for the HAPPY HOUR SIGN, a red label which looks like this:

AMAZING, right? Those are just some of them but on some days, they also give Happy Hour discounts on bread, milk, coffee, sugar and every imaginable stuff available at their huge and modern supermarket.

Now, here’s a TIP: If you are in the midst of a Happy Hour and the clock is ticking fast, cut the chase and just ask for assistance from any of their crew. They would be most glad to help lead you to the discounted items.
