First 24/7 Mercury Drug in GenSan to open soon!
Finally, what we have been waiting all along is becoming a reality.
Mercury Drug will soon be opening its first 24/7 branch in General Santos City by March 2013!
This will be the multinational drugstore’s eight outlet in the Tuna Capital.
Mercury Drug 24/7 will occupy half of the first floor of a new building owned by the Veneracions in the area used to house their restaurant along Santiago Boulevard. It sits right beside their other two properties, the Medical Plaza and St. Elizabeth Hospital.
THE SOON-TO-OPEN BUILDING WHICH WILL HOUSE THE FIRST 24/7 MERCURY DRUG STORE IN GENERAL SANTOS CITY.
This area along Santiago Boulevard is actually very strategic for Mercury Drug since it is right smack near the city’s two large private hospitals – St. Elizabeth and Doctor’s Hospital. It is also surrounded by government offices like PhilHealth; private clinics; and, 24/7 fastfood restaurants like McDonald’s, Jollibee and ChowKing. Just recently, a big international hotel chain, Microtel opened its doors behind McDonalds, and soon within the same compound called Valley High, a host of restaurants.
And did I say that SM City General Santos is just a next-door neighbor?
Of course, Mercury Drug 24/7 wouldn’t be without competition because, a score of local drugstores, all open 24/7 too, are located right in front of its location – Tambal Og Uban Pa, Rojon’s and GenMedex, which have considerably cheaper priced medicines.
All the more will this make Santiago Boulevard-National Highway Junction bustle with economic activity twenty-four hours a day!
