National Film Festival rolls out at SM Cinemas

Posted on by in , with 0 Comments

For the first time ever in the history of General Santos, the city is part of a week-long National Film Festival: All Masters Edition organized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines and Sineng Pambansa.

The generals are indeed lucky since from September 11 – 18, 2013, SM City GenSan will be exclusively showing all the eight movie entries from the country’s most accomplished veteran directors with respective bodies of work spanning decades and thus substantially forming part of the Philippine Cinema heritage.

Each one of them used different provinces in the country as their backdrops for their films, focusing on the beauty of their settings, each with their own stories to tell.

Now check out these masters’ names: Tikoy Aguiluz VI, Mel Chionglo, Maryo J. delos Reyes, Joel Lamangan, Peque Gallaga, Lore Reyes, Elwood Perez, Gil Portez, Chito Rono, Jose Javier Reyes, Romy Suzara and Celso Ad. Castillo!
