Tigerair flying to GenSan!
We just got word that aside from PAL and Cebu Pacific, a third airline will be including General Santos in its flight schedules!
Tigerair Philippines who is on expansion mode is flying to more cities in Mindanao including Davao and the Tuna Capital effective November 28, 2014!
Tigerair will be using an Airbus A320 aircraft, the maiden flight to GenSan will leave NAIA 4 in Manila at 12:30pm while it flies back from GenSan at 3:00pm. This will be a five times weekly route for the airline.
Meanwhile, the daily Manila-Davao sked is 6:50pm while the return flight is at 9:10pm. Its CDO route just started this month.
Tigerair, which used to be owned by SEAir and Asia Spirit and later merged with Tigerair Singapore, is now wholly owned by Cebu Pacific. CebPac has the biggest low-cost network in the country, with over 2,200 weekly flights to 26 international and 34 local destinations using 50 aircraft. On its own, Tigerair Philippines operates 220 weekly flights with four Airbus A320 planes to eight local and one international destinations.
Hopefully, Tigerair will consider making GenSan as a major hub for Mindanao and include other areas for peopl in SoCSkSarGen to fly to like Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod and even other areas in Luzon.
