SM GenSan to unveil Toyland-themed Christmas Tree

The most awaited season of the year is upon us once again, the season of joy, love and hope. It is the time of the year where everyone gets ecstatic and elated especially the children. This year, SM City General Santos gives special emphasis on these kids since their centerpiece for the Yuletide Season, their giant Christmas Tree adopts “Toyland” as the theme.

Their Christmas Tree at the Event Center will be festooned with various types of toys and gifts which will be guarded by toy soldiers. On Sunday, November 9, 2014, at 5pm, a marching band will parade along the mall to invite the shoppers to witness the momentous lighting of this giant Christmas tree. Adding more festivity, the crowd will be entertained by a choir performing Christmas carols while young ballerinas will be dancing with them. These, plus indoor fireworks will surely bring more delight to the kids and kids at heart as the tree is being lighted.

According to SM’s PIO, Marilou Canda, “Christmas is the time to celebrate this very special season with family and friends. It’s time to be happy and peaceful, and to give and share one’s blessings. This is the essence of Christmas as the time of gift-giving that we are trying to highlight in this year’s Yuletide theme”.

More so, for SM City GenSan’s Christmas Toyland, expect to see Santa Claus there appearing below the tree at some point during the Yuletide Season.  Now that would be one truly compleat joyous moment for a kid celebrating Christmas.

Have a #merrySMchristmas everyone!
