As I am writing this, Summer has not yet been formally declared by the PAG-ASA. That doesn’t however, stop the officials of Sarangani’s top tourism draw, Glan to officially announce the conduct of its Mahin 2015 Beach Festival and the release of its official dates, April 17-18-19, 2015 (3rd Weekend of April).

MAHIN is the B’laan term for Beach, Ocean, Sea.

The Mahin 2015 Beach Festival starts just in time for summer and the municipal government of Glan which just celebrated its hugely succesful 100th Foundation Anniversary last October 2015 is making sure that it will give tourists reasons to visit and enjoy their famed white sand beaches, other than the now legendary SarBay Fest that will be held much later in May 15-17, 2015.

In short, Mahin 2015 Beach Festival is Sarangani’s Welcome to Summer as it complements the now decade-old SarBay Fest 2015‘s Ode to Summer. Both festivals only cemented Glan, Sarangani’s reputation as the Summer Beach Capital of SoCCSkSarGen!

Mahin 2015 Beach Festival is three days of fun, frolic and festivities right in Gumasa, Glan, the same activity area of SarBay Fest. This year, the Honorable Mayor Tata Yap, promised a cavalcade of events for visitors and locals alike on a much grander scale compared to years past and thus, vowing a #PerfectSummer for everyone.
