Earlier last week, on December 6, the Pamilihan ng Bayan (Christmas Bazaar) and Christmas Carnival, both at the Oval Plaza, were the first to be softly inaugurated by no less than the Paskuhan sa GenSan Chair, First Lady Jane Rivera.  She was assisted by Tourism Committee Chair Councilor Shadee Llido, Councilor Dom Lagare, Councilor Lulu Casabuena, and GenSan Tourism Council Prexy Philip Pabelic.  Mayor Ronnel Rivera also graced the occasion.

For the umpteenth time, the local government will still be working with the Department of Education aside from the GSC Tourism Council.  For the Grand Ceremonial Opening on the 17th, the whole of the Oval Plaza and the areas around the government center, including the Plaza Heneral Santos will be simultaneously lit up paving the way for the start of GenSan’s Christmas Festival.

Here below is the calendar of events of the 2013 Paskuhan sa GenSan: Pasko ng Pagkakaisa, Hudyat ng Pag-asa.

As a fitting finale to Paskuhan sa GenSan 2013, everyone is enjoined to witness the New Year Countdown to 2014 at the Oval Plaza which will be led by the City Mayor and his family.  Expect the grandest fireworks display here on that day.
