RD City Mall, a planned community mall owned by the RD Group of Companies is expected to add more life to General Santos City’s vibrant economy.
Scheduled to break ground this afternoon at its site along the National Highway in Barangay Calumpang, right across the KCC Warehouse Compound, about 200 meters away from Jollibee Drive Thru, RD City Mall will be catering to the working class communities of GenSan most populated barangays Fatima, Tambler and the aforementioned Calumpang.
RD City will have two opposite arcades for both office and retail spaces. It will also feature airport shuttles and travellers’ area since it is quite near the Gen. Santos City International Airport.
Of course, it will also house RD affiliates like their hardware, pawnshop, seafood market plus a supermarket and a department store. Heard that there will be a cafe named Tropican Coffee. What’s even more exciting is that RD City plans to have a Convention Center and a Hotel at the rear portion.
The two-storey edifice measures 50,000 square meters and as of now, are open to inquiries for future and prospective tenants.
And did I say that, RD City might also house a bowling alley?
All these only mean that Barangay Calumpang finally gets the attention it deserves. And with news coming to us that even SM Savemore and PureGold Supermarket are eyeing the area, we can only say, “BRING IT ON!”
