[dropcap]K[/dropcap]oronadal City is really on a roll!

A few days ago, we announced the opening of national coffee shop chain, Bo’s Coffee in Koronadal City, South Cotabato, this month of April, on the 18th to be exact.

Now, Gensan’s leading Halal Restaurant that serves “the best tasting inasal in town“, is also opening in the city and is beating Bo’s by a week.

Koronadaleños, please welcome Tambilawan Native Halal Restaurant as it starts offering you the dishes that endeared it to the people of Gensan and Polomolok, where its first branches are located.

This is Tambilawan’s biggest branch so far that can seat about 120 guests at its outdoor and main dining areas and a little under 50 guests each at its two air-conditioned function rooms.

MINDANAO DINING HALL
THE MAIN AREA, MINDANAO DINING HALL

The restaurant makes full use of its native Pinoy theme as with its three older branches and has the same festive feel and inviting atmosphere. The owners, Joe and Christine used mostly natural materials such as coconut tree bark for its ceiling and wall tiles, the banig on its railings, bamboo on its walls and natural wood for its tables and chairs. Hanging gardens surround the dining areas and mounted tree stumps provide some accent at the frontage.

The bahay kubo table-and-chairs sets that it is known for are also present at the front and side al fresco sections for diners who want a more airy private ambience.

Colorful Pasandalans greet the passers-by at their wide parking area and indicate that they are welcome invite to enter and try the Tambilawan experience.  Other Muslim cloth decors adorn the walls at the back.

The two functions rooms are called Luzon and Visayas respectively and contain images of their famous tourist destinations.  The main hall is aptly called Mindanao and understandably, features pictures of its attractions including our very own Mt. Matutum totally covering one wall.

Of course, the Koronadaleños should expect the same delicious Tambilawan bestsellers like its tasty Chicken Inasal, the delicious Chicken Sisig, Chicken Binakol, Chicken Nilagpang, Chopsuey, Grilled Tuna, Imbao Soup, its Bagoong Rice, among other things.  Then, they should be prepared for its highly addicting and full to the brim Buko Halo-Halo.  Eveything is halal-certified, by the Mindanao Halal Authority.
