Finally, almost three years after they opened a branch in Gensan, specifically at the SM City General Santos, Starbucks Philippines released today, January 8, 2015, 2016, its official Gensan Starbucks Mug.

As early as 5am this morning, collectors from Davao and Kidapawan Cities were already waiting for the Starbucks Gensan branch to open to purchase the first souvenir item of the world’s #1 coffee shop chain for their 3rd Mindanao City, after Davao and Cagayan de Oro.  When I arrived a little before 10am, these collectors have collectively bought almost 500 pieces of the Gensan Starbucks Mug!!

The mug features an image of the iconic fisherman carrying a giant tuna on his shoulders.  At the other side of the mug is what could be Mt. Matutum.

The Gensan Starbucks Mug costs P450.00 and is definitely a collector’s item.  Now generals and visitors won’t be having a hard time deciding on what to bring as pasalubong from the Tuna Capital of the Philippines, aside from frozen or canned tuna.

With this mug, Starbucks made it easier for them.  Yay!
