December 23, 2015 is a Muslim Holiday so #WalangPasok in all the government agencies in General Santos City.
The day is the Feast of Maulid Al-Nabi or the Birthday of the Prophet Mohammed.
There is no already a memorandum circular from the local office of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (see at the bottom). Earlier, we saw and read one from its Region IX counterpart dated December 15, 2015.
Expect the local NCMF Office to release a memorandum anytime now (update: see below) so that our Muslim brothers and sisters can celebrate the special occasion on that very day, December 23. This is exactly two days before the Birth of Jesus Christ. And since December 24th is also a holiday, that is a five-day LONG HOLIDAY for the Mindanaoans in South Central, Central and Western Mindanao.

The NCMF in Region XII (Gensan) and the City Mayor’s Office of General Santos have separately released memos declaring December 23, 2015 as a Muslim Holiday. Here goes:
